2025-2026 Goals
We are focusing on three themes in the collection - identity, healing and pleasure. Within those themes we will represent seven distinct experiences that span the spectrum of gender, race, class and ability.
Identity- the evolving story we tell of who we are that is shaped by memory, body, culture, and relationship.
Healing- embracing both the luminous victories and unresolved experiences of pain and challenge.
Pleasure- unpacking what holistic pleasure feels like and the cultural norms that distort humanity’s desire and ability to feel good.
Revel Body invites both a celebration of pleasure and a deeper understanding of the many ways we live through, endure, and transform our struggles.
This is a call out to folks who want to make a contribution to the collection. We are raising funds to create Revel Body and make it accessible to anyone who can benefit - no one will be turned away for want of money. This is a pathway for learning about sexuality whose principles are in direct contrast to humanity's largest sexual education platform, the porn industry.
Our Anatomy has hosted seven research gatherings between January and June 2025- three in California and one in Colorado, Vermont, Indiana and Illinois. We are currently planning a European tour in France, the Netherlands and Spain in October of 2025. Through these gatherings, momentum is building and the cultural body of Our Anatomy is growing.
The goal for 2026 is to finish the pilot project, Revel Body. Revel Body will be a collection of 22 portraits of the organs of origin painted from life. Each portrait is accompanied by a personal story from the model. Models for Revel Body receive a somatic session with Jote to explore and deepen their connection with their organs of origin, a live painting session, giclee prints and digital copies of all the images created.
Revel Body’s goal is to tell some of the “abnormal” or “taboo” stories that so many of us share. This is a collection that affirms and unpacks the complex experience of living with restrictive cultural norms about how it should feel to be a sexual, human creature on Earth at this time.

We believe it is our birthright to receive beautiful, affirming, evolving, sex positive materials to help us learn about sexuality, anatomy and power. To fit these criteria, we need to create these materials in consensual, caring environments of inquiry.
In order to do this, we will raise $5000 per portrait and accompanying story for a total of 22 portraits.
$110,000 will fund the completion of the Revel Body portrait collection.
For each portrait, $5000 will cover a somatic session, a live painting session, a detailed anatomical work from reference photos taken in the session, a refinement of the personal story that will accompany the work, artist and model stipend, administrative costs and the design and hosting of a membership page where Revel Body will be made accessible - where no one will be turned away for want of money.
The human tradition of art making is responsible for huge shifts in planetary consciousness.
