Our Anatomy empowers a collective reimagining of the ways we relate to perception, relationship and erotic power.

There are infinite ways eros can flow through us- some that include sexual expression and many that do not. Our goal is to increase healthy bonding in sexual and non sexual relationships by weaving a new ancestral story of embodiment- a story that honors the erotic resonance of the earthbody and humanity’s role as an organ of the Earth.

Through community dialog and study with elders, holistic pathways for learning creative sovereignty and pleasure agency are being revealed.

We use the tools of image and storytelling because they are artful, ancestral ways to transform unconscious connection into conscious wisdom.

Our Anatomy’s research evolves through group inquiry at Participatory Action Research gatherings.

We gather to look at evolving anatomical art and storytelling that maps our bodies, our consciousness and our relationship with the earthbody.

  • Somatic Art

Our anatomy is not without story. Sharing the stories carried within our bodies is integral to the art making process

  • Participatory Action Research

At research gatherings we turn our lived experience into shared insight that marks the path toward meaningful change

  • Ancestral Wisdom

Ancestral cosmovisions hold systemic perspectives that value the study and remembrance of where consciousness, life and eros originate.

Our Anatomy's art and research is spreading through gatherings, gallery walls, prose, learning materials, and one on one sessions.

Revel Body:
The Pilot Project

Our Anatomy is developing an art based learning pathway designed to increase empathy and understanding about human sexuality and gender through embodied study, personal stories, imagination and anatomical images painted from life.

Writing

Research gatherings, time spent with the elders and the personal stories that make Our  Anatomy pulse are given voice through writing and artwork shared on Jote's substack.

Stewardship

Jote is the main steward of Our Anatomy. Their background in somatic psychology and their studies with the elders root the project in systems thinking and mutual care. They communicate the stories and methodology of Our Anatomy in watercolor, prose and at participatory action research gatherings.
